Inclusive Governance

This entails how decisions are made and who is included in that process and how they are included as well as how wealth and prosperity are distributed and shared across a population. The Kenyan Constitution 2010 provides for participation of communities in decision making. The Constitution also has a robust devolved system of governance. Many resources are devolved in the counties and communities have to be involved in identifying their priorities, interventions and budgets for the same.

The Organization will build the capacity of communities to engage with ‘holders of power’ to ensure that resources trickle down to their communities through training in areas such as inclusive budgeting, public participation processes, among others.
